Superannuation Trustee Only Companies
This type of company are registered for the SOLE PURPOSE of acting the "Corporate Trustee" of a Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF).
The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) have reduced the Annual Review Fee for this type of company from $212 to $40 however, this type of company MUST HAVE A CLAUSE IN ITS CONSTITUTION STATING THAT IT'S SOLE PURPOSE IS TO ACT AS TRUSTEE OF A SUPERANNUATION FUND to be eligible for the discounted Annual Review Fee. The Annual Review Fee is the annual registration fee paid to ASIC to keep the company registered and is payable on the anniversary date that the company was registered.
A Superannuation Trustee Company only after incorporation MUST advise ASIC of its Sole Purpose by way of a Form 484 Change of Company Details within 28 days of its registration to avoid ASIC Late Fees. If your order this type of Company from us, we automatically prepare this extra Form 484 and electronically lodge it on the directors behalf for not extra cost. The cost of this type of Company if $700 including GST.
A standard trading company with a standard Constitution (that does not contain the Sole Purpose Clause mentioned above) can act as Trustee of Superannuation Fund, however, would not be eligible for the reduced annual review fee and would have to pay $212 annual review fee each year.
